Julia Savill is a seasoned and versatile actress with a vibrant career spanning over four decades across theatre, television, film, commercials, voiceover, and e-learning media. Her passion for performance was honed during a rigorous three-year drama training in Manchester, after which she relocated to Bristol to pursue her professional acting journey.

In the early days of her career, Julia embarked on a colourful path to earn her Equity Card—an essential passport to professional work at the time. She embraced a variety of roles, from clowning and singing to Old Time Music Hall and touring pantomimes through community centres and rest homes. During her time in Bristol, she gained valuable on-screen experience, including extra work, a small role in Casualty, a milkmaid in Robin of Sherwood, and a journalist in The Missing Postman alongside James Bolam.

Her journey then took her to Australia, where she continued to perform on stage and secured a role in a television series, further expanding her international repertoire. With a rich and dynamic body of work across both the UK and Australia, Julia has consistently brought depth, humour, and authenticity to every character she portrays.

Now based in Wimborne, Dorset, Julia remains deeply active in the performing arts. She recently appeared in two films—one short and one feature—including Idiots Anonymous, and she is delighted to be playing the role of a dinner lady in Naughty and Nice.

Julia is also the founder and creative director of Grass Roots Theatre Company, a local initiative dedicated to producing high-quality, accessible theatre for the community. Her work with Grass Roots reflects her enduring commitment to storytelling and the transformative power of the arts.

Known for her comedic brilliance, versatility, and unwavering professionalism, Julia Savill continues to captivate audiences and collaborators alike. Her love for the craft of storytelling—in all its forms—remains at the heart of everything she does.
