Hekla Hrund

Wardrobe Supervisor

I’m a Costume Designer and Maker with a BA in Performance and Costume Design from Arts University Bournemouth (2022), where I specialised in Costume Interpretation. Before that, I studied tailoring and dressmaking at Tækniskólinn (Technology College) in Reykjavík, building a strong technical foundation in garment construction.

Since graduating, I’ve been working as a freelance costume maker, bringing characters to life through detailed, historically-informed, and story-driven designs. I’ve collaborated on a range of immersive theatre and screen productions, contributing everything from bespoke period garments to contemporary pieces.

I’m passionate about craftsmanship, collaboration, and the art of visual storytelling—and always open to new creative challenges.

In my spare time, I enjoy papermaking and bookbinding, creative writing, and tinkering with machines—anything that keeps my hands busy and my imagination engaged.
